      Hello!

I’d love to say that I’ll be retiring at 55 with a nice big pension however, I think the reality is that I’ll be working until I’m about 70 years old ๐Ÿ™

I think Mark nailed it. There is a Professor I work with who is 80 and he still comes to the office because he enjoys his work so much.

He is definitely the exception though! ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi

We have someone in our company who past retirement age a while back, but they love their job so much that they have continued to keep on working!! The governmental retirement age is constantly changing, last I checked it was at 65. However, as our population is now living for longer, except for those who spend too much of their time in fast food restaurants, by the time you or I come to retire the age will have gone up again. If you choose a job that you enjoy you wonโ€™t be worrying about retirement, a lot of people in our industry, because they like what they do so much, choose to carry on working part time well after the point of retirement.

I too would love to say that at 50, or 60 I’ll be off – I don’t think that’s going to be a financial option for me though!

Having said that – I’m not sure what I would do when I retire, perhaps I’ll be like Rory’s professor and keep coming into work!
