• Question: can clouds be used to help elecricity?

      lightning from clouds can produce a huge amount of electrcity..but collecting this can be difficult and dangerous as we dont know when or where lighting is going to strike…

      As Jaz says – lightning has huge potential (!) but collecting the energy from there does pose some challenges!
      Electrical charges do build up in clouds as they are formed and grow – but there I’m afraid ends my knowledge on the subject. Perhaps it’s something you could google?

      As you an probably tell, we are pretty sceptical about this… I don’t think so either but I’d be happy to work on Mark’s research project…
