but now there is lots of information availble.

Lots of reading and asking people questions, Tomorrow’s Engineers as suggested by Jaz is a great place to start!

I spent a while when I was in my last year at university looking at graduate engineering jobs, I went to my careers centre and used careers websites. I’m also a member of the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) and they have great engineering advice!

I learned because when I was at school, my friends dad was an engineer. He seemed to do loads of cool stuff so I asked him about it. It was great to hear it directly from someone with loads of experience.

The other resources mentioned below are also great places to find more information. If you are interested in Chemical Engineering this website is also a good place http://www.whynotchemeng.com

p.s. if you got to Tomorrow’s Engineers, maybe you can find me!

I always wanted to make cars. Talking to my D&T teacher at college really helped me decide on Mechanical Engineer as a degree subject.

The rest was mostly from research on the internet for jobs. I used http://www.milkround.com to find jobs.
