      Hello,

There are many different types of engineer. In my work these are some…
      – Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation
      – Mechanical
      – Process/Chemical
      – Civil
      – Hydraulic
      – Geotechnical
      – Production
      – Environmental
      – Modelling

And that is just in the water industry, I’m sure I’ve missed a couple out too!

There are very many types of engineers. Anything that needs to made requires an engineer at some point. In addition to Mark’s list below I’d add: Fire Safety Engineer 😉

There are lots more and brief descriptions included in this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_engineering_branches

What kind of engineer sounds the most fun for you?

Yep too many engineers to name! Just to put one building together, I think we must work with 20 different types of engineers.

Definately so many – almost as many as you can think!
In my role I work primarily with Electrical Engineers – although that then splits up into Energy Engineers, Power System Engineers, ….. the list goes on!

If there’s a particular thing that interests you in Engineering – I am in no doubt there is something to suit all!
