      Oh dear!
      It’s making fun of engineers who are always keen to make things as practical as possible! So the famous saying about optimists and pessimists and the 1/2 full glass of water being considered in different ways is twisted to say ‘well why is the glass so big if you only need a little water?!’

      I hope that makes more sense 🙂
      Another joke I like is
      ‘What’s brown and sticky?’

      ‘A stick’
