Question: Is your job in any way dangerous?

Not really. There are some hazards associated with working in research and in a laboratory especially when you are burning things but we try to be as safe as possible and spend a lot of time thinking about the dangers and eliminating them. Sometimes when we do a big fire we have the fire brigade on standby just in case anything goes wrong – lucky we haven’t had to use them yet!
