I loved maths and physics so I thought I’d like to design X-ray and MRI scanners for hospitals? But I loved skyscrapers as well so decided to do that instead!

My first career ambition was to be a train driver. Then I wanted to do the special effects for films (blowing things up, crashing cars and basically destroying things). Finally I decided that making things would be more fun than destroying them so engineering was the way forward!

I’ve always wanted to be an engineer of sorts! When I was very young I wanted to make cars 🙂

I loved playing and watching sports. I always wanted to be a physiotherapist… but then when i was studying the different career options and looking at salaries and companies i could work for i decided to give engineering a go instead.

I’m not sure I did have a career idea before engineering, I did think about becoming a teacher for a short period of time – but then finding out how things work seemed to appeal more!
