I should probably leave that to Roma to answer. I know that it must be a lot of fun, sometimes challenging but also very satisfying cos you can point to a building and say “I made that!”.

People like me work with Roma on a very small aspect of the building – making sure it doesn’t fall down if it catches fire. It is a great example of engineers working as a team to come up with the best solution!

Structural engineering is great, as Rob says, we work with lots of people to make a bridge or building. We use maths and physics to make sure structures stand up and are safe to be in. It’s also very cool to be able to point at The Shard and say ~ ‘i designed that’!!

      Nicely answered by Roma.

I work with structural engineers occassionally. It is usually to assess whether existing floors can support the pumps I want to want install.

We use lots of structural engineers to design our stores.. they get to work with lots of different people ( including me) to make sure the store is fit for purpose and environmentally friendly

      thanks

I don’t actually work with structural engineers on a day to day basis – so it’s always good to hear from people like Roma to hear what they get up to!
Engineering is so diverse, there’s definately something for everyone!
