• Question: why is it important to have foundations in a building

      The foundations are the bit which hold the entire thing up! If you have bad foundations, you can end up with the leaning tower of Pisa (have a look online if you haven’t heard of this already, it’s crazy!).

      It’s important to spread all the weight of the building out into the ground and make sure the building doesn’t move, the foundation do that job. They’re very important!
