      Hi Harry,

I think in the future we will have fiber optic broadband everywhere. It may take a while but I’m pretty sure we will get there…at least in this country.

      Hi harry

yes i definitely think there will be. It has changed our life so much we can transmit data so quickly – at the speed of light ! and all this from a piece of glass as thin as a hair strand.. amazing engineering!

      Hi Harry

Yes I think so – even quite remote rural areas are getting there!
Did you know some of the fibre optics are sometimes wrapped around the earth wire that goes along pylons? That way there’s no need for new pylons or routes!

      Hi Harry!

It is my understanding that it already is almost everywhere. It’s under the oceans, under the streets and like the other say it is now even going into remote places. Fibre optics are even used in some decorations like this lamp http://www.amazon.co.uk/Colour-Changing-Fibre-Optic-Fountain/dp/B002HYK6WE
